SESSION REVIEW – W/C 7th OCTOBER ’19
LEARNING BLOCK – Perfecting Technique | FOCUS – Passing With Care
TECHNICAL CHALLENGE – Can I pass accurately on both feet? | PHYSCOLOGICAL CHALLENGE – Can I scan for available team mates before I pass?
WHY? – TECHNICAL | Passing with care and accuracy in Futsal in one of the development fundamentals, due to the fast pace and intensity it’s important for players to pass with care at a high tempo, this then allows teams to keep possession of the ball and attack quickly which will result in more chances created. In addition, the small spaces in Futsal challenges players to pass accurately to a team mate in order to keep the ball, therefore we help and support our players to show a variety of passes from at different lengths.
WHY? – PHYSCOLOGICAL | Following on from the above and the tight spaces in Futsal, this again challenges players to scan before they pass. As passing options can appear and disappear within seconds, it’s important players scan and pass almost instantly as the longer it takes for players to pass after they scan, the harder it is to keep the ball. From a young age, the important outcome for us is to lift your head before you pass so you’re scanning for options before you make your decision.
HOME LEARNING | Our players are currently on Activity #1 which is focused on Ball Control Combinations – look out for some top players completing their challenges over the next few days on our social channels (you can visit them before and don’t forget to Like!!)
TOP LEARNERS | Well done to our Top Learners below who have impressed us with their learning, these include players from Berkshire Futsal Club and FC Bracknell.
